Why this website
I took my first steps on Neocities in 2021, starting right here.
Everything I’ve written here over time has been drafted, published, deleted, rewritten, and published again, until today. Maybe that’s why this site reflects who I am more than any other: it feels like me.
Back in high school, I used to tinker with HTML. But years passed, the web evolved, and my skills became rusty. Now I’ve decided to get back to the keyboard, study raw code again, and build site skeletons and pages line by line. No algorithms, no ads, no infinite scrolling.
They say the Indie Web is dead, especially here in Italy, and that people now live exclusively on social media. I don’t believe it. I believe there is still a community of artists, musicians, writers, and dreamers who want to reclaim their personal online spaces, without having to follow rules that don't align with their values.
If you reached this page, it means you’re looking for something different, too.
Do you have a personal site or an Indie Web project? Drop me a line, leave a greeting in the Guestbook, or let’s swap links/banners: let’s connect!
You can find links to all my projects in the right-hand column (or in the box below if you’re on mobile). Enjoy your journey through the old web!
"I created the OASIS because I never felt at home in the real world. I didn't know how to connect with the people there. I was afraid, for all of my life, right up until I knew it was ending. That was when I realized, as terrifying and painful as reality can be, it's also the only place where you can find true happiness. Because reality is real."
